SWEET LAKE FARMS

Sweet Lake Farms

Sweet Lake Farms was the vision of Will and Shelley Boudreaux stemming from a shared dream to own some land where they could relax, entertain, and get a little dirty while doing it!

The 500 acres was purchased in 2016.  It was made up of a 150 acre abandoned gravel pit and 350 acres of woods, natural creek beds and swamps.  The land sat unattended for over 10 years before the project of creating what is Sweet Lake today began.

Massive land clearing, lake rehabilitation including water restoration and bank reshaping, and total introduction of infrastructure was the foundation for the start of seeing what Sweet Lake could be.

After 3 years of construction, Sweet Lake now highlights a boat house, boat docks, a barn that doubles as a party room and bunk house, main house, skeet shoot house and two sleeping cabins built from an 1880’s Bristol, VA tobacco barn (the tobacco barn converted cabins was a joint project with the DIY show Barnwood Builders).

Today, Sweet Lake Farms serves as a retreat for Shelley to cook, read and take Jeb on long walks, a bass fishing and hunting paradise for Will, and the epicenter for parties, concerts, and lively get-togethers for Jannah and Ealon.  There is no shortage of fun to be had and the entire family is happy to welcome you to enjoy all that Sweet Lake Farm offers.
